About Me
From Senior Developer at Portland General Electric to creating Websites to Empower Small Businesses.
I’m John Heyden, the founder behind this venture. For 25 years, I built my career in Information Technology at Portland General Electric, serving as a Senior Developer. My journey there was defined by innovation and impact. I was one of the developers behind there Customer Information System, now known as Customer Care and Billing (CCB), as well as the Web Billing platform “PortlandGeneral.com” My work spanned a wide range of technologies, including PLSQL, Java, C, JavaScript, Oracle Utility Application Framework, HTML and React, ensuring robust, scalable solutions for Oregon’s largest utility.
Why I Started This Business
After retiring from PGE, I saw a troubling trend among my friends and fellow business owners: too many were being overcharged for website development and digital solutions. With decades of experience solving complex problems and building mission-critical systems, I knew I could offer something better-high-quality, fairly priced web development and IT services that empower local businesses rather than exploit them.
My Mission
My mission is simple: to deliver reliable, modern, and affordable web and IT solutions that help small businesses and entrepreneurs thrive. I believe everyone deserves a digital presence that reflects their hard work and vision-without the inflated costs and hidden fees.
Real-World Problem Solving
I’ve tackled challenges at scale, from utility billing systems to customer-facing portals. I know how to build solutions that work-securely, efficiently, and reliably.
